It’s been about two years since we’ve heard anything new from Dr. Dog, but luckily that’s about to change. The Philly-based band will be releasing their newest album, Shame, Shame on April 6 through ANTI- Records. Although the group is known for its DIY aesthetics and busy sound featuring many band members, Dr. Dog’s sixth LP was produced by Rob Schnapf (Elliot Smith, Beck, Islands) and “peels back the layers of strings and horns of past albums.” To support the record Dr. Dog also announced plans for a ten-week tour covering North America and parts of Europe. The band will first bring their CSNY-sound to Troy, NY where they will begin playing unheard songs from Shame, Shame. Lots of tour dates below.
