Weirdo Brooklyn sextet Dirty Projectors will be dusting off their 2005 album The Getty Address, a concept-heavy sonic narrative about (of all things) Don Henley, for a pair of shows later this month, on opposite coasts of the continental United States. Accompanying the band will be the 15-piece contemporary music ensemble Alarm Will Sound orchestra, who will aid the Projectors in executing the sprawling composition in its entirety.

Following the pair of Getty Address performances, in the respective locales of New York and Los Angeles, will be sets featuring material from Dirty Projectors' latest effort, the critically lauded Bitte Orca.

The New York performance will take place at the Lincoln Center as part of the American Songbook series, which has been celebrating contemporary song craft since 1998. In Los Angeles, the Projectors will be co-headlining the Walt Disney Concert Hall with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, who will perform Philip Glass' "Prelude from Akhnaten" and Maurice Ravel's "Suite from Mother Goose."

While tickets to the New York show are sold out, you can still get tickets to the LA performance if you're quick!
