Chris Walla, guitarist of Death Cab for Cutie and producer for Postal Service, the Decemberists, as well as Death Cab, has a pretty good ear for this whole music thing. That’ll definitely come in handy now that he’s started up his very own record label, Trans.

Trans is a part of Warner Label’s Independent Label Group and has already a band signed: The Lonely Forest. The Anacortes, Washington band already has two LPs under their belt, including the well-received, independently released We Sing the Body Electric!, and now they’re getting ready to record their third album this spring.
