It always seems like the New England area gets the shaft when festival season rolls around. Sure, there are ATP and Camp Bisco to keep some of us entertained, but what about those of us who can't (or won't) make the trip to upstate New York? The answer to this question will kick off its second year in Lyme, Connecticut on May 30th.

The Bring Our Music Back Festival (BOMBFest for short) was conceptualized in 2008 by a high school senior as a community service project. Admittedly, upon hearing that the festival was being put together by someone who hadn't even graduated yet, we at Inyourspeakers were a bit skeptical. However, after experiencing the inaugural BOMBFest for ourselves, we walked away from the event (which featured performances from the likes of Say Anything, The Cool Kids and Horse Feathers) in sheer amazement. Not only had the festival gone off without a hitch, but frankly, in our opinion, it was executed quite superbly.

This year's BOMBFest promises more of the same, albeit with an expanded lineup and a different handful of causes to support. As of right now, the lineup will include Of Montreal, MuteMath, Cool Kids, Lupe Fiasco and Girl Talk. Although we can't say this with 100% certainty just yet, the word is that The Flaming Lips (yes, you read that right) will be the headlining act.

We'll keep you updated on any changes and lineup additions that occur prior to B-day!
