Try to connect the many dots between perennial beat generation icon Jack Kerouac and emo-friendly indie heavyweights Death Cab For Cutie and the distance may have you quickly find your pen running out of ink. But strangely enough, here is Ben Gibbard, teamed up with Americana songsmith Jay Farrar, encapsulating the words of the legendary and highly influential author in fluffy alt-country pop -- a far cry from jazz. The collaboration began with the intent to craft a soundtrack for the Kerouac film One Fast Move Or I'm Gone, a documentary about the writer's time in Big Sur, California. However, not content to just sit on the material, the pair have decided to embark on a brief 2010 tour in support of the album. Check after the jump for a couple videos and live performances at a time and place near you.
