It's been awhile since we've heard from Ben Cooper, who got the interview treatment from us earlier last year. Apparently, as busy with various projects as the man is, he is no more impervious to the clutches of human illness than the rest of us, reporting, as it were, from the midst of a weeks long potpourri of different flu symptoms, which he describes in great deal within his most recent blog post. Among other subjects touched upon in Cooper's extensive update are upcoming Radical Face tour dates, a new Electric President album, and setbacks with the next Radical Face record resulting from none other than his "laptop exploding."

"My laptop exploding and this never ending illness have made it so I haven't recorded anything in about a month," says Cooper, adding that it "might be the longest break I've had from recording in 5 years." Cooper also makes mention of an upcoming tour: "I am getting the dates finalized for the winter tour this coming week. That tour should take place in the middle of February (between the 2nd and 3rd week). I'll have the dates posted this week." As if that isn't enough news from one person, he goes on to add that Electric President's next album, entitled The Violent Blue, is finished and pressed, and should be released soon.

If your head isn't quite spinning yet, consider Ben Cooper's idea to create an entire album based on fan-submitted stories, one song at a time and on a monthly basis as the second volume of his Patients series. Or better yet, just read the entire blog entry. It will leave you dizzy.
