When the Beatles and Wu-Tang face-off, we all win. The seminal rock band’s classic Magical Mystery Tour got the mash-up treatment with the seminal rap group’s classic Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) and the results were fantastic. More after the jump.
The 27-track Wu- Tang Clan vs. The Beatles: Enter The Magical Mystery Chambers was mixed by Tom Caruana and features Wu members rapping over the Beatles’ music. While I doubt George Harrison and Ol’ Dirty Bastard were ever in the same room together, this works just as well. Best part of all is that it’s free. Just simply click here.
If you like hearing other great new songs for free, then we've got a few more sweet downloads for you. New songs from Joanna Newsom and Phoenix made their way onto the net, along with an unfortunately fake Justice track.
-Joanna Newsom unveiled a new song, “81,” from her upcoming, TRIPLE album, which is streaming on Drag City’s site now.
-Phoenix recently recorded some songs for Germany’s Musikexpress, which included a fantastic cover of the Dylan classic “Sad-Eyed Lady of the Lowlands.” Phoenix scaled back the 11-minute epic to 5, but still did not disappoint. You can hear it for yourself by downloading the track at the bottom of the page.
-A supposed Justice track, “Beginning of the End” has also leaked but has turned out to be a fake. Ed Banger Records is telling us not to expect a new Justice album in 2010, which made us at IYS frown.
