On Thursday, November 19th, Valentine's Music Hall in Albany, NY will host everyones favorite celebration of friendship and facial hair - a night that wouldn't be complete, of course, without live music and delicious Thanksgiving grub. We're talking about B3nson Recording Company's "Second Annual B3nson Family Funsgiving," of course! A full night of music from the ever-expanding B3nson roster, this year's festivities will bring together "the old and the new, the large and the small, the loud and the quiet. Everyone together and something for everyone." More details after the jump!

The night will in all seriousness be jammed-pack with musical acts. The two newest bands to make their Albany debut as part of the B3nson family consist of Secret Release, a dynamic fast-moving, and emotionally charged experience, and Man Scouts, a camp-centric trip of a garage band. Both groups will be kicking off the night's live music sets, followed by solo acoustic acts Stacey Ullman, Pinguinos, and Barons In the Attic. Then, two of the most promising bands part of the recording company, Scientific Maps and We Are Jeneric will bring Funsgiving '09 to a close in grand fashion. An endearing and punny duo of Aaron Smith and Donna Baird will play stripped down versions of Maps songs old and new; and an expanded We are Jeneric cast will perform many of the world-music influenced jams off their well received August '09 B3nson release Animals Are People Too.

In addition to the music, B3nson Recording Company merchandise will also be available as well as CD's and t-shirts from all your favorite B3nson bands. There will be a collection of non-perishable food items at the door to benefit the Regional Food Bank which will also receive a good portion of the proceeds. A fun-loving predecessor to your own holiday plans, at the least.
