Scottish producer Rustie has released his first fully new original record in almost a year and a half. The "Slasherr/Triadzz" single revels in the explorative and hyperactive nature of his productions with possibly even more energy than ever before.
While researching Whistle Peak’s new B-side collection, I was surprised by how many different genre labels the band garnered. It’s not often that your managing editor describes a band as electronic pop while the disembodied ramblings of other media members use words like “alt-country” and “psychedelic bluegrass”. But, after listening to Put to Flight, I can’t say that any of the aforementioned are wrong in their descriptions.
"The Underground Resistance" is one of the finest examples of pure heavy metal in a long time, and even though the sheer nerdiness of this fact will turn most away with smirks and jeers, the diehards will be left with nothing else than two extended fingers held high in the air.
